6.6.25 // The Artist's Way

A few weeks ago, I wrapped up the 12- week journey of "The Artist's Way"- and it undeniably changed my life.
.
It's jarringly easy to look back on 2025 so far and point to the single most significant shift I've made: this practice. The Artist's Way cracked something open in me, and it kept shifting... and shifting... and shifting the rest of my life.
.
There's so much I could say about this book, but I should start with how The Artist's Way found me.
.
It began as a whisper. Mentions of the book surfaced through social media, in passing conversations with acquaintances. And then, it manifested fully, thanks to a colleague who really saw me (Ryan- thank you!). He gifted me the book with a post-it inside, filled with words of encouragement and a reminder to offer myself grace as I began.
.
The book sat out for months. Every morning, I'd see her there, and I still couldn't bring myself to commit. I even saved the audiobook on Spotify- but again, I found reasons to deny myself entry into those pages, which felt intimidating, dating, an sacred in some quiet way.
.
One day, I posted about The Artist's Way on my stories, asking if anyone had done it. Then came another- gentle, yet firm- nudge from the universe. Someone who didn't even follow me saw the story (Christian- grateful for you), and a DM later, I was connected to Giddy by Nature, a group led by Lucinda that works through the book together.
.
You can't make this up. It was a clear synchronicity- as I'd come to learn. (Synchronicities are a pillar of the book, and learning to look for and trust them is one of it's core practices.) While nervous about spending money on the course, I said yet... and trusted the rest!
.
That Tuesday night group became an anchor. The Artist's Way isn't a gentle ocean- it challenges your vessel, compass, and sense of direction. But it does so lovingly, and demands expansion in more than just creativity...
.
If you've ever thought about The Artist's Way let this be your synchronicity.
